At Stuart W. Cramer High School, students take Advanced Placement (AP), Career and College Promise (CCP) and honors courses to get a head start on college. We offer outstanding fine arts programs in band, chorus, visual arts and theater. Plus, our Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes include unique options you won’t find everywhere such as welding and culinary arts.

Stuart W. Cramer High School met its academic growth expectations for the 2024-2025 year. We also achieved a B school performance grade, and we increased our graduation rate to above 90 percent. All of this means we are moving in the right direction toward higher academic achievement!

Stuart W. Cramer High School offers outstanding fine arts programs in band, chorus, visual arts and theater. Our students receive awards local, regional, and state for their performances.

Stuart W. Cramer High School has a strong athletics program. We have won state championships in wrestling, track and field, and golf. Our student-athletes show great teamwork, school spirit and sportsmanship.

Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually.

The Board of Education will meet on Monday, April 20, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gaston County Schools Central Office, 943 Osceola Street, Gastonia. The public is invited to attend. Five outstanding educators are in the running to be named the Gaston County Teacher of the Year for 2026-2027.
The Board of Education approved the 2026-27 school calendar. The calendar was adopted during the board meeting on December 15, 2025, and revised March 16, 2026, to change the optional teacher workday from June 1, 2027, to August 4, 2026. SUN Bucks is a program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that helps families buy groceries during the summer months when school is out. Eligible families will receive a one-time payment of $120 per child on a debit-like card. The card can be used to purchase nutritious food during the summer months when schools are out.
